Once upon a time on Bainbridge Island, a trio named Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum sought to entertain their bored children. In 1965, they created Pickleball - a unique fusion of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.

With a makeshift court, handmade paddles, and a plastic ball with holes, the game was born.

In 1967, the first permanent pickleball court was built, providing a dedicated space for enthusiasts to play. In 1972, a corporation was established to safeguard its invention. By 1984, the sport came under the governance of the USA Pickleball Association.

All this recognition led to the expansion of the sport. As word spread, Pickleball transcended borders, with European and Asian nations embracing the game. The inclusive nature of this game attracted players of all ages and skill levels, becoming a global sensation.

Picklezone was created by a group of passionate pickleball enthusiasts, introducing a mobile app that is much more than Play & Earn, but instead a Play to Connect concept that blends a unique Social-Fi and Game-Fi experience. By merging pickleball with cryptocurrency and NFTs, players can connect with community, participate, compete, and earn PICKLES, the in-app points token within the Picklezone ecosystem. Once certain milestones and community achievements are met, PICKLES can be converted into $PZN, the tradeable utility and governance token.
